If John Cyriis (ex-Agent Steel) and King Diamond had a son it would probably sound like ATTIC’s frontman Meister Cagliostro. What a voice! The hair-raising falsetto screams and evil-melodic undertones layer perfectly over the warming riffs of Satan. The dual-lead axe work sounds like Iron Maiden on a sad day and that is no criticism. If anything it brings out the atmosphere, gloom and misery of this occult influenced EP. Despite not being entirely original, they fit in nicely with In Solitude and Portrait’s niche and they should continue to gain success as more people discover the dark side of heavy metal.
