DID YOU READ THE MUSIC PAPER FROM THE BACK TO THE FRONT?
DID YOU FIND OUT WHERE TO SEE YOUR FAVOURITE BAND?
WHAT IS IRON FIST?
Iron Fist is a magazine aimed squarely at disciples of heavy metal, whether that be traditional or classic metal, black, death, thrash or doom. Born out of passion for music, it is a call to arms for other metal maniacs that want to reminisce about the genre’s early days while remaining hungry for the new blood keeping the scene alive. Iron Fist is the bible for those that can’t live without their denim and leather.
Iron Fist is for fans of bands who push the boundaries of performance, who don’t just play a show, they put on a show, who write music that has a mission statement, who play like their lives depend on it. With blood, sweat and tears, Iron Fist will follow their journeys whether it’s their 30th year of extremity or their first steps to heavy metal infamy. If it’s being talked about in the obsessive circles of the heavy metal underground then Iron Fist will be on the frontline.
Founded by Will Palmer and Louise Brown with a team of steel-obsessed connoisseurs Iron Fist is the go-to publication for all your heavy metal needs.
Iron Fist is currently distributed around the world as a print magazine via Comag. It is also available as a digital version via iTunes. Reader statistics are available by email

SPONSORSHIPS AND EXCLUSIVE STREAMS/VIDEO LAUNCHES
Do we want to sponsor your tour/show or do an exclusive stream of your band?
NO. To put it bluntly. Why? Because we love heavy metal and chances are we love your band.
If we love your band we would be honoured to stream your new album or song or video on our website. Wow, we’d be bowled over. Seriously, thank you. And if we love your band we’d definitely love to come watch you play live. But we don’t own you.
We’re a magazine, and this is not an exclusive relationship. You can go stream your videos/albums with other magazines, if you want. We think you’re great, we don’t want to lock you up in our little cupboard of the internet.
Because in all honesty, if we love you and you’ve chosen to exclusively stream your song or video on another website we might get a bit sad but then because we love you, literally 30 seconds after they’ve done their “exclusive” we’ll post it on our website anyway, because what’s the point. It’s the internet!
Once something is out there whirling around in cyberspace it’s up for grabs. By all means, give another site an exclusive stream but surely that’s limiting your ability to be seen (and we think you deserve to be seen).
We think all it’s doing is giving that website an opportunity to puff out its chest like a big bear and think they’re all super smart and brilliant for loving your band the mostest and the firstest. That “exclusive” stream says nothing about how awesome you are and everything about how awesome that website thinks they are.
We’re all about music. We don’t want to be the first, or only, we just want to celebrate all the bands we think rule.
Same goes for festivals and gigs. Thank you for asking us to sponsor your event. But what can we really do for you? We’d be going anyway.
We might even review it.
But what you really need is a lot of help with promotion before the event, and if we believe in your festival or event just ask us and we’ll post about it on our social networks and website. We don’t want to have our logo slapped all over it in return.
When we see another magazine’s logo on a poster or a gig it makes us wonder if we’re invited? It’s a big ol’ barrier, like are we allowed to go if xyz magazine is “sponsoring” this instead. And then it doesn’t seem like they’re doing much to “promote” the event anyway (in some cases). If you wanna partner up with us and do an Iron Fist event then we’d be well up for that, that sounds amazing. Other magazines do that so well and they invite us along and we have a brilliant time. But if it’s a gig you’re putting on or a festival you don’t need our logo to help you, you’re already doing an amazing job and we’ll be happy to promote you anyway (hey, we might even give you a mates rate advert if you’re doing this DIY style!)
